Like the other reviewer, I have no insurance but to make matters worse, I have no job. Just a small pension.
I fired a cardiologist because he charged me $560 for 30 seconds of his time. This guy was poking around in my eye for five minutes and only charged me $170.
I almost can't wait for something else to fly into my eye so I can go back and see this guy and NOT get ripped off.
In the chair in 10 minutes, 10 minutes later the object had been removed and I'm out a lousy $170. They had to repeat that to me a couple of times.
Why aren't ALL doctors like this guy?
I put off going to a doctor for six months after some kind of object got embedded in my eye causing blurred vision. "No money, Too expensive" was my excuse. I finally broke down and went.
You got a vision problem and don't go see these guys, you are nuts.
I am one of those people...you know the ones...without insurance and has a terrible job that doesn't pay well, no matter how hard they make you work. Usually, when I say this to people in any medical profession, I get that look that says, "You are too poor for me to deal with...maybe you should try the local doc who got his degree from the local community colleges online." This was not the case here. I walk in, and the place is immaculate...nicely decorated, clean, and welcoming. They have an optical area, too...so no going to another place to find your glasses! Then, I get greeted very warmly by the receptionist who was training another girl. I was signed in and ready to go. After filling out the paperwork, which did not take forever, I was almost immediately sent to the back rooms to get started on the exam. The girl that did the initial part of it was very friendly, and intelligent. Then it was time to see the doctor. I saw Dr. Trottini. If you want to see an excellent opthomologist, look no further than this gentleman. He was kind, gentle, and very understanding of my lack of insurance and funds. He never made me feel like a poor person, or that he was too good to deal with the likes of me, like so many doctors I have met in the past. It was so refreshing to be treated like a human being. Not only was he very kind, but he was also very good at what he does. He figured out the main source of my problem quickly, gave me some prescriptions to get (which he called in online, so no waiting for hours at the pharmacy!), and even made my low budget an easier pill to swallow. I was so impressed that I felt I had to come home and write this review. I normally do not do that when I see a medical professional. I would not only recommend this place to anyone I meet, but I will not be going anywhere else for any of my eye issues from now on. I love this place, and I am absolutely positive that you will, too.
